‘Insight’, Three Channel Video Installation, 2006

 

Insight questions the boundaries between interior and exterior, private and public. I am interested in ideas of likeness and in manipulating the mental and physical state of the observer while watching another body performing an act of dysfunction. The three videos play independently with the sound specially segmented in the room to create an unpredictable and often comical aural and visual cohesion in the work.

 

NOTE: the sound used for this project is an actual recording of human arthritic joints.
